Retention Period

Unless a specific retention period has been specified within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for data processing no longer applies. If you make a legitimate request for deletion or withdraw your consent for data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g., tax or commercial retention periods); in this case, the deletion will occur after these reasons no longer apply.

Note on Data Transfer to the USA and Other Third Countries

Our website includes tools from companies based in the USA or other countries that do not have secure data protection regulations. When these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in these countries. We note that in these countries, data protection levels comparable to those of the EU cannot be guaranteed. For example, US companies are required to release personal data to security authorities without you, as the affected person, being able to take legal action against it. Thus, we can not avoid that US authorities (e.g., intelligence agencies) may process, analyze, and permanently store your data on US servers for monitoring purposes. We have no control over these processing activities.

Withdrawal of Your Consent to Data Processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your explicit consent. You can withdraw consent you have already given at any time. The legality of data processing carried out until the withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

Right to Object to Data Collection in Special Cases and Direct Advertising (Art. 21 GDPR)

IF DATA PROCESSING IS BASED ON ART. 6 PARA. 1 (E) OR (F) OF THE GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA AT ANY TIME FOR REASONS ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH PROCESSING IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR AFFECTED PERSONAL DATA UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING THAT OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS, AND FREEDOMS OR THE PROCESSING IS FOR THE ASSERTION, EXERCISE, OR DEFENSE OF LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION UNDER ART. 21 PARA. 1 GDPR).

IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR DIRECT ADVERTISING PURPOSES, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR SUCH ADVERTISING; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING TO THE EXTENT THAT IT IS ASSOCIATED WITH SUCH DIRECT ADVERTISING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL NO LONGER BE USED FOR DIRECT ADVERTISING PURPOSES (OBJECTION UNDER ART. 21 PARA. 2 GDPR).

Right to raise complaint at the Competent Supervisory Authority

In case of violations of the GDPR, the data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, particularly in the member state of their habitual residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged violation. The right to lodge a complaint exists without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedies.

Right to Data Portability

You have the right to get data, which we process on the basis of your consent or in fulfillment of a contract, handed over to you or a third party in a commonly used, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of data to another responsible party, this will only be done to the extent technically feasible.

SSL or TLS Encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or requests you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Right of Information, Deletion, and Correction

Within the framework of applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of data processing, as well as a right to correction or deletion of this data, if applicable. For further questions on personal data, you can contact us at any time.

Right of Restriction of Processing

You have the right to request the restriction of processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time regarding this. The right to restriction of processing applies in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored with us, we usually need time to verify this. During the verification period, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

  • If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.

  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of deletion.

  • If you have lodged an objection under Art. 21 Para. 1 GDPR, a balance must be struck between your and our interests. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, these data – apart from their storage – may only be processed with your consent or for the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of an important public interest of the European Union or a member state.

In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in effectively handling inquiries directed to us (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR), if requested.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your inquiry has been fully processed). Mandatory legal provisions – particularly retention periods – remain unaffected.

If you contact us by email or telephone, your inquiry, including all personal data resulting from it (name, inquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request. We do not share this data without your consent.

The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR if your request is related to the performance of a contract or necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. 5. Newsletter, Contact & Registration form

We use an online forms tool from TYPEFORM, S.L. (a Spanish company with a registered address at Can Rabia 3-5, 4th floor, 08017 – Barcelona, Spain) for our newsletter, training registrations, and contact forms, and a newsletter tool from Intuit Mailchimp (405 N Angier Ave. NE Atlanta, GA 30308 USA) specifically for the newsletter.

Newsletter Data

To send our newsletter, we need your email address and other information that allows us to verify that you own the provided email address. No other data is collected or only on a voluntary basis. This data is used exclusively for sending the requested information and is not shared with third parties.

The processing of data entered in the newsletter registration form is based solely on your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can withdraw consent to the storage of your data, email address, and its use for sending the newsletter at any time, such as via the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter. The legality of data processing already performed remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

The data you provide to subscribe to the newsletter will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. After unsubscribing, your data will be deleted from the newsletter distribution list. We reserve the right to delete or block email addresses at our discretion within our legitimate interest according to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

MailChimp

This website uses MailChimp for newsletter distribution. The provider is The Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.

MailChimp is a service for organizing and analyzing the sending of newsletters. When you enter data for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter (e.g., email address), this data is stored on MailChimp's servers in the USA.

With MailChimp, we can analyze our newsletter campaigns. When you open an email sent with MailChimp, a file (web beacon) connects to MailChimp's servers in the USA. This allows us to determine if a newsletter message was opened and which links were clicked, if any. Additionally, technical information (e.g., time of retrieval, IP address, browser type, and operating system) is collected. This information is not associated with individual newsletter recipients. It is used solely for statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. These analyses help us tailor future newsletters to the interests of recipients.

If you do not want MailChimp to analyze your data, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. We provide a link for this purpose in every newsletter message.

Data processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. The legality of data processing carried out up to the time of withdrawal remains unaffected.

The data you provide for newsletter subscriptions is stored by us or the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe. After unsubscribing, your email address may be placed on a blacklist to prevent future mailings, serving both your and our interests in complying with legal requirements for sending newsletters (legitimate interest as per Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR). Blacklist storage is not limited in time. You may object to storage if your interests outweigh our legitimate interest.

For more information, see MailChimp's privacy policy: MailChimp Privacy Policy
