System Operator

This training addresses future operators, running and maintaining systems in the Mainframe environment. It also includes z/OS, as well as handling z/VM and Linux on the Mainframe.

The individual modules include a mandatory part as well as optional subjects chosen by the trainee. The mandatory subjects, will say the subject taught during the training, are subject to monitoring via test, exams and practical work. Passing these tests and exams is a prerequisite to receive certification at the end of training.

Duration of Training and Workload

  • Duration of qualification: 9 months extra-occupational
  • Individual workload: 8-10 hours a week (depending on prior knowledge the estimated time input can vary)
  • ca. 350 hours in study material and time needed for the mandatory subjects
  • ca. 8 days presence workshops (aside from kick-off and final workshop there are about 2 presence workshops lasting 2 days each)
  • ca. 600 hours VC sessions
  • Online exercises
  • Intensive coaching
