The cooperation of EMA I European Mainframe Academy and IBM aims at training a company’s employees as well as employees of their customer companies to become highly qualified Mainframe experts. The goal is to secure junior staff and to maintain and expand much needed skills.
EMA organizes basic and continuous trainings, manages the participants’ support and features top-level lecturers from the industrial sector. IBM Deutschland supplies technical expertise on all new developments and information. IBM also provides EMA students with access to many institutions like the IBM-Lab in Böblingen.
The cooperation with Leipzig University grows from historical roots. Professor Spruth, co-founder of EMA I European Mainframe Academy, all his life engaged in pointing out the great importance of Mainframes. He also had made sure to pass on his outstanding knowledge and competence to his students.
It was because of Professor Spruth and his faculty that it became possible to finally operate their own Mainframe including all applications. IBM and Leipzig University assured EMA access to this Mainframe as well as support in any way needed.
It is this kind of cooperation that in the end provides a hands-on training, paving the way to unparalleled opportunities.
