Today more than 60 percent of all experts in the field of Mainframe (IBM z/OS, z/VM, Linux on z), are 50 years and older. Their knowledge will not be around that much longer, a fact that represents a great challenge for the industry.
The EMA I European Mainframe Academy supports the industry addressing this challenge and engages in a sustainable and successful program to train and pass on essential knowledge and skills to the much needed junior staff. The existing knowledge has to be secured and continuously developed – by a suitable junior staff to be trained well and in time, providing continuity in skills and competence.
With this in mind EMA designed an innovative, extra-occupational training concept based on state-of-the-art Blended Learning teaching methods. EMA aims at securing the existing knowledge with highly qualified expert lecturers and a short-term, demand-oriented expert training.
